A1-PRONUNCIATON: Word stress in two syllable words
As we have studied in class, English words can be divided into Syllables and there is always a syllable in a word that carries the stress.
This time we are looking at stressed syllable in two-syllable words. In these types of words the stress can be on the first syllable, (u-gly), or on the second (for-get).
We also studied that, generally speaking, adjectives (u-gly) and nouns (ta-ble) have stress on the first syllables. Verbs, on the contrary, have stess on the second syllable (for-get).

In unit 8 we studied the verbs love, like, don't mind, don't like and hate to express the activities we like and dislike:
We studied some problems of spelling with the -ing form.
There are three rules
1. We normally add -ing going, visiting, watching, working
2. If the second verb ends in -e writing, cycling, driving, using
we delete thee (write), (cycle), (drive), (use)

We double the second consonant getting, putting, running, stopping
